Betaseed recently announced Megan Oligmueller as Betaseed’s 2019 scholarship winner in the Western Sugar south area. Oligmueller was awarded a $500 scholarship. Betaseed sales representative Brian Specht presented the check.

Oligmueller graduated this spring and will be attending the University of Nebraska-Kearney. She is the daughter of Kevin and Jenny Oligmueller, who operate KO Farms in Alliance, Neb. Megan plans to get an education so she can find a job she enjoys and become a contributing member of her community.

Betaseed awards annual scholarships to students to help further their college educations. The scholarship committee selected Megan based on the essay she submitted based on the prompt “What Could the Future Hold for Sugarbeets and Sugarbeet Producers?”
