Germains Appoints New Sales Agronomist for Michigan

Germains Seed Technology announces the appointment of Steve Poindexter as sales agronomist to the company’s North American sugarbeet division in Fargo, N.D.

Poindexter is a sugarbeet agronomist who served as a senior sugarbeet extension educator at Michigan State University for 20 years. In his role, Poindexter will focus on the Michigan sugarbeet market to support and provide expertise to Germains customers and their growers. He will assist with managing sugarbeet research trials throughout the Michigan growing area.

Poindexter’s long history as a sugarbeet extension educator includes extensive experience in on-farm research that includes fertilization, disease management and new product management practices. His experience in conducting agriculture education programs and research will be a tremendous asset to Germains’ sugarbeet commercial team and its customers. 

To further improve their quality of customer service, Germains Agronomist Randy Hemb will shift his entire focus to Southern Minnesota Sugar, MinnDak, and the American Crystal markets. Hemb will be responsible for supporting Germains customers and their growers in this region while assisting with sugarbeet research trials.
