Those looking for ways to control disease and fungus in a variety of crops will soon have a new fungicide option in their arsenal. Syngenta is offering Miravis fungicide with a new active ingredient, Adepidyn, which is currently pending Environmental Protection Agency approval.

Syngenta says Miravis provides the following:

* Activity against leaf spots and powdery mildew;

* Efficacy against botryis, sclerotinia and corynespora for grape, peanut and potato growers;

* Control of fusarium, including fusarium head blight (scab) in cereals.

Once the product is through regulatory approval multiple brands in different crops will be available. Formulation brand extensions for corn, grapes, peanuts, potatoes, soybeans, wheat and other crops will be announced in 2017.
