Two suspects riding-in-tandem on a motorcycle shot and killed a sugarcane planter April 5 in Brgy. Fabrica, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.

Senior Supt. William Señoron, provincial police director of Negros Occidental, said the victim was identified by his family as Rodrigo Divinagracia.

Divinagracia, 47, succumbed to a gunshot wound in the head, after he was shot by a gunman, who was riding in tandem with another suspect, at the diversion road in Brgy. Fabrica, Sagay City. Inspector Adrian James Albaytar, Sagay City deputy police chief, said the victim died inside the Mitsubishi Strada vehicle he was driving, that fell into a sugarcane field.

Initial investigations of the Sagay police showed that three gunshots were heard.

The victim was reportedly on his way home to Brgy. Mabini in Cadiz City when he was shot by riding-in-tandem suspects, who had followed him from Sagay City.

Investigations of the Sagay police showed that the suspects overtook the vehicle of Divinagracia, and shot him.
