Syngenta to break ground on expansion of Seedcare Institute in Minnesota

Syngenta will host local and state government officials, as well as agricultural leaders, at a groundbreaking for an expansion of its Seedcare Institute in Stanton, Minn., at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11.

The Seedcare Institute in Stanton, one of 10 Syngenta Seedcare Institutes around the world, has grown into one of the premier seed treatment facilities across the globe. Expected to be completed fall 2016, the new building will help accelerate the development of new seed treatment products and technology, while accommodating customer education, training and support.

The 38,000-square-foot expansion includes:

* A high-tech facility to cultivate research and development.

* Construction of laboratories, treating and equipment performance areas, seed warehouse and office/meeting spaces.

* Spacious state-of-the-art customer training facility and conference rooms.
