Pentair launches Hypro Express Boom Assembly

Pentair Ltd. announced the launch of the Hypro Express Boom, a pre-assembled wet boom designed to eliminate complexity and minimize labor costs.

Hypro’s Express Boom Assembly saves hours of expensive labor for Distributors and OEMs by delivering a fully-assembled, performance-tested boom. The Hypro Express Boom Assembly consists of many components needed for a wet boom, and is pre-assembled in many standard configurations. The standard assembly is complete with stainless steel piping, 5-way ProFlo™ nozzle bodies and Express end-caps and fittings. Custom options are also available.

“Boom-In-A-Box” Saves Time, Money

According to Gene Schellhorn, Pentair product manager, “The Express Boom Assembly is as turn-key as it gets for wet booms. We ship a plumbed, performance-tested assembly that can be mounted in about an hour. It’s essentially a ‘boom-in-a-box’, specified for a customer’s precise needs.” Schellhorn says the benefits to OEMs and Distributors are obvious, “No drilling, no cutting, no threading. No custom tools or fixtures needed. No need to stock component parts such as pipes, fittings, or nozzle bodies. The Hypro Express Boom Assembly utilizes the award-winning Hypro Express Nozzle Body End Cap, which eliminates trapped air from the boom by allowing air to escape through the nozzle body. This reduces nozzle turn-off time by 85%, eliminates dead-ends from each pipe, and eliminates potential chemical contamination. The Express Boom also utilizes O-ring sealed joints for all wet boom fittings, eliminating the need for leak-prone threaded joints and welded fittings. This also allows for lighter schedule 5 stainless steel pipe in place of heavy schedule 40 pipe.
