Kuhn Krause, Inc. announces the grand opening of its expanded manufacturing facilities in Hutchinson, Kan. Construction for the high-bay 70,000-square-foot building expansion, which began in April 2012, was recently completed. With a total cost of the project, along with related new machinery, of nearly $5 million, this expansion complements other investments made in 2011 at Kuhn Krause, Inc. This sets the stage for additional investments by the Kuhn Group in 2013 and beyond to continue manufacturing high-quality agricultural equipment products in Hutchinson, Kan.
The expansion will improve manufacturing capacity, efficiency and quality with new, state-of-the-art technology and use of lean manufacturing strategies. Production is being ramped up with the gradual transfer and new installation of manufacturing and storage/handling equipment. A dedication ceremony was held with employees and local dignitaries and guests to recognize the investment and celebrate this milestone.
