Timothy Egan, Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter and author, Jason Weller, acting chief of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and Ellen Gilinsky, senior policy advisor at the EPA, are just a few of the speakers to be featured during the 67th Annual Meeting of the National Association of Conservation on Jan. 27-30 in San Antonio.

Gene Schmidt of Indiana, president of the NACD, says in addition to the lineup of speakers and a wide range of informative sessions, conservation leaders from across the country will conduct business of the association and that includes electing officers.

"President-elect Earl Garber will take over the rein as President of the National Association, in turn, we will be electing a First Vice President, Second Vice President and a Secretary/Treasurer, " said Schmidt. "We will go through an interview process before the full board and then give those folks a couple days to talk one-on-one with those candidates and then give direction to provide the leadership to the National Association on Tuesday."
