Aussies Give Shelf-life Grant

Victoria-based Green Lands Holdings Pty. Ltd. received an Australian government grant of up to A$312,000 to adopt a process that extends the shelf life of peeled potatoes from two-to-three hours to between 35-40 days.

The new process involves the use of naturally occurring ingredients rather than the current system of using sodium meta bisulphite.
