On Sept. 27, Betaseed will host its eighth annual Progressive Agriculture Safety Day in Mitchell, Neb. The event will take place at the Scottsbluff County Fairgrounds and provide elementary students from Morrill and Mitchell schools the opportunity to take part in hands-on safety demonstrations and educational training activities. Through these activities, Betaseed is hoping students will learn important fundamentals of water/canal safety, ATV safety, fire safety, drug awareness, grain bin safety, electrical safety, bike safety and more.

Progressive Agriculture Safety Day is a beneficial opportunity for the children who attend the event. By combining fun and education, children become excited to learn about responsibility and the essentials to live safely.

The Progressive Agriculture Foundation, which will co-host the event with Betaseed, is dedicated to supporting youth agricultural programs.  It is the largest rural safety and health education program for children in North America.  The foundation’s mission is to provide education and training to make farm, ranch and rural life safer and healthier for children and their communities.
