Betaseed announces scholarship winners

Betaseed Inc. announces three 2017 scholarship winners in the Western Sugar South area.

Carli Cullan was awarded a $500 scholarship. She graduated from Hemingford High School and will be attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to pursue a degree in occupational therapy. Carli is the daughter of Chris and Joei Cullan, who farm near Hemingford.

Christopher Fornstrom and Cassidy Butcher also received $500 scholarships.

Fornstrom graduated from Pine Bluffs Sr. High School and will be attending the University of Wyoming to pursue a degree in ag business. After graduation, he will return home to help manage the family farm. Christopher is the son of Mark and Susan Fornstrom, who farm near Pine Bluffs.

Butcher graduated this spring and will be attending Eastern Wyoming College to pursue a degree as a veterinarian technician. Cassidy is the daughter of Terry and Stacey Butcher, who farm near Morrill, Neb. Cassidy is a member of the Morrill FFA chapter and is also actively involved in 4-H.
