WOBURN, Mass.—Arborjet reminds graduating high school seniors that the deadline for its annual “Taking Root” College Scholarship Program is just around the corner. All applications must be postmarked by June 30.

A leader in the care of America’s urban and natural forests, Arborjet is accepting applications for its annual program from students who plan to pursue a career in arboriculture or a related field.

“The interest we have seen from students applying for our scholarship program so far this year has been terrific,” said Russ Davis, president and COO of Arborjet. “Our industry offers tremendous opportunities for young people seeking to turn their ingenuity and passion for trees, plants and our environment into a career in the exciting field of arboriculture. We encourage other young students to take advantage of this opportunity and apply while they still can to support their education and future in this growing industry.”

Now in its fourth year, the scholarship program will award 10 graduating high school seniors each with a $1,000 scholarship to pursue full-time studies in Forestry, Plant Sciences, Horticulture, Entomology, Environmental Science or a related major at an accredited two- or four-year college.

Applicants for Arborjet’s 2017 “Taking Root” Scholarship Program must be graduating U.S. high school seniors planning to major in arboriculture or a related field for the entire 2017-18 academic year. Interested students and educators can find out more by visiting www.arborjet.com and applying directly at www.sms.scholarshipamerica.org/arborjet. The application deadline is June 30.
