TULARE, Calif.—World Ag Expo will kick off its 49th annual show on Tuesday, Feb. 9, in Tulare, Calif.

Gates open at 9 a.m. on Tuesday and the show runs through 4 p.m. Thursday.

Billed as the largest annual agricultural exposition of its kind, World Ag Expo features more than 1,500 exhibitors who display cutting-edge agricultural technology and equipment on 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space.

An estimated average of 100,000 individuals attend the show each year to learn about the latest advances in agriculture. At last year’s Expo, 49 states and 49 countries were represented.

In addition to exhibits of all types, 49 seminars will be offered in dairy, irrigation, international trade and general agriculture topics.

A new feature this year are seminars on bees as well as on mentors for women in agriculture. Seminars presented by professionals in the industry provide attendees with valuable information to improve their operations.

“World Ag Expo functions as a platform—to offer up the best to the world’s hardest-working group of people so they can continue to feed and clothe and change the world,” Jerry Sinift, International Agri-Center’s chief executive officer, said in a press release. “When our exhibitors succeed, our attendees and farmers transform their operation, and consumers all over the world are positively impacted by the increased efficiency and the continuous re-evaluation of ‘what we’ve always done.’

“Ag is evolving to feed a growing world. And we’re here to help facilitate that.”

Live webcams of World Ag Expo’s show grounds can be viewed online in February at www.WorldAgExpo.org/live-webcams. Ten cameras on the grounds offer views of activity on the grounds, including exhibitors, attendees and volunteers.

World Ag Expo attendees can also get the latest news, information and updates about the show by downloading the new 2016 mobile app. The free app provides mobile access to the schedule of events, an exhibitor directory, map of the show grounds and other visitor resources. The app will be available in February and can be downloaded from your app store by searching for “World Ag Expo 2016”.
