On March 20 we can rejoice for it's the first day of spring! Our winter souls are anxious to fold away the woolen covers. Spreading seeds of delight and planting goals for growth.

The official day of Spring comes just after our dandy celebration of National Ag Day on March 8. www.agday.org.

Some tell me they are happy to learn more about agricultural events and such. And just when you think the ag industry has made full circle and most folks appreciate the things growers produce to keep their bellies full, there was a really misinformed story in January on Yahoo News written by a Terence Loose.

Perhaps you have read it too. A sadly deluded reporter wrote a story about the top college majors that are useless. It is distressing because he listed the number one useless major to be agriculture.

I wondered out loud to myself if he eats food. Then I ventured out for some fresh air and a brisk walk around the block of my office building. After a few steps I saw this sticker in a car window. Perfect. I snapped a shot of it with my iPhone. "No Farms No Food."

The irony is enough to put a smile on my face.

Terence, unknowingly, has brought more attention to agriculture for a career choice. He has planted ideas that produced an abundance of interesting analysis.
