Farmers can prepare for the next level in bin unloading with a new equipment option: an auger designed specifically for their needs. The new generation Brandt 1345B U-Trough Auger was designed in response to customer feedback to deliver industry-leading performance, reliability, and ease of operation.

“We asked farmers what they needed in an ideal auger. They told us they wanted more capacity, product reliability, and improved ergonomics,” said Jason Klassen, Brandt Senior Vice President Sales—Manufactured Products. “The performance of the 1345B has industry-leading capacity for all crops and conditions. Brandt’s latest series of U-Trough Augers have been extensively tested in the toughest conditions to deliver maximum uptime, and we have improved the operator controls to make it very easy to use.”

Farmers have responded positively to the new auger. “Its capacity stands out to us. We haven't had another U-Trough that will move the amount of product that this one will," Nolan Chermcora of Lindgren Farms in Norquay, SK, said. After testing the new U-Trough Auger, Logan Connor from Matador Farms in Beechy, SK, was impressed by its durability. "I couldn’t plug it. I tried by best, but I couldn’t plug it,” he said.

Improvements and innovations of the next generation Brandt U-Trough auger include:

  • Upgraded, three-bearing gearbox to provide higher load tolerance, and a solid driveline and chain coupler to ensure smooth, reliable operation.
  • Triple-banded belt that delivers maximum traction and a true parallel-link belt tensioning system to maintain ideal power transfer.
  • Centralized operator control station that includes the ignition, throttle, electric clutch, and EZMOVE operations in one convenient location.

The auger has been redesigned from the ground up for ease of access to all components, reliable operation, and peak performance for all crops and conditions. Plus, its gentle handling protects crops from damage, maximizing profit margins. And it does this all at the impressive rate of up to 9000 bushels per hour.
