Amalgamated Sugar, one of the top sugar producers in the U.S., has promoted Jessica Anderson to the position of public affairs manager. In this role, Anderson will represent the company in its public relations and government affairs efforts.
“Jessica grew up on a sugarbeet farm. She understands our growers and our business, and represents our values and our commitment to community extremely well,” says John McCreedy, Amalgamated Sugar’s president and CEO.
Anderson has been with Amalgamated Sugar since 2016, when she accepted the company’s newly created communications specialist position. Since that time, the position has expanded to include political action committee management. Anderson was instrumental in Amalgamated’s recent brand refresh project. Anderson serves as a representative of Amalgamated on the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Food and Ag Industry Advisory Board, as well as with the Idaho Food Producers and Idaho Agriculture in the Classroom organizations. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Foundation for Idaho History and participates in the Boise Young Professionals’ marketing and communications work team.
