Westbridge Agricultural Products announces that Xena Spreader-Sticker has been listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) and Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) for use on all certified organic crops.

Xena Spreader-Sticker is an effective adjuvant that increases the spreading and adhesion of insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, biostimulants, plant growth regulators and biopesticides. It is compatible with most inputs and can be used in conventional and organic farming.

Xena is a great tank-mix partner to improve the coverage and retention of agricultural sprays on the plant surface. Xena is a blend of three nonionic surfactants that increase spreading of applied spray droplets. This increased spreading results in better coverage, which is usually correlated with enhanced efficacy. Upon drying, Xena aids in adhering agrochemicals to the plant surface by forming a thin, transparent film composed of plant-derived polysaccharides, rather than synthetic polymers. After agrochemicals have been more efficiently distributed through enhanced spreading, they will stay on the plant longer, resisting loss from rainfall, dew and irrigation.

“Westbridge is committed to providing growers with new products and tools that will help them meet their crop production goals,” says Larry Parker, director of research and development at Westbridge. “The introduction of Xena Spreader-Sticker gives organic growers a very effective and cost-effective tool to help enhance the efficacy of their herbicides, fungicides and other crop inputs safely and efficiently.”

XENA is now available in for sale in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Florida, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin. California state registration is pending.
