Excelerator XT 8010 Vertical Tillage System

While retaining a 1- to 5-degree vertical tillage gang angle range for true VT performance, the Kuhn Krause Excelerator XT 8010 vertical tillage system features an additional XTended range of 6 to 8 degrees. The added capability to increase gang angle will assist the operator in removing shallow-rooted weed growth or filling light ruts created from previous harvest traffic or sprayer passes.

Individual gang angles adjust using a standard mechanical screw adjustment; an optional hydraulic on-the-go adjustment feature is also available. The hydraulic option includes an in-cab selector that allows the operator to move front and rear gangs simultaneously, retain the same gang angles front to rear, or adjust the front and rear gangs independently, varying the front and rear gang angles.

Designed to operate at 8 to 10 miles per hour throughout the gang angle range, the new Excelerator XT 8010 provides producers with a versatile and productive high-speed vertical tillage tool that is proficient in either fall or spring tillage applications. The Excelerator XT is currently available in 30-, 34- and 40-foot sizes.

VRT Renegade

Summers Manufacturing has added the new VRT Renegade tillage tool to its Variable Rate Tillage product line. Featuring iControl Implement Control technology, the VRT Renegade allows operators to adjust tillage performance on the go, using a cab-mounted iPad as the controller. The product gives farmers unprecedented control of tillage results, allowing the VRT Renegade to virtually replace many other vertical tillage, high-speed disks and conventional tillage implements.

The VRT Renegade features a variety of implement adjustments that can be made during operation via iPad for quickly adapting to changing field conditions. With this system, operators can adjust the angle of the front and rear disk blades independently from 0 to 19 degrees to switch from light to aggressive tillage. Operators can also adjust the hitch control to transfer more weight to the front or rear of the implement, or set the implement hitch to float mode. Operators can also use the iPad to set the tillage depth, gauge wheels, wing down pressure and rolling basket down pressure. Presets can be saved and named to quickly recall previous implement settings.

Joker RT

Horsch Joker RT high-speed discs include 20-inch notched blades that are mounted at a 17-degree angle for optimum soil engagement and residue/soil mixing. Rubber torsion arms help protect the blades against damage from foreign objects, and oil-filled bearings provide long life with zero maintenance. Manual or electronic depth control is available for maintaining precise, consistent tillage depth throughout the field. Additionally, an integrated RollFlex finishing system optimizes soil consolidation and field finish to produce excellent planting conditions and promote rapid emergence of seed.

Benefits of the Joker RT include aggressive crop residue management through superior sizing and mixing of the soil and residue, as well as consolidation of the soil profile for accelerated residue decomposition. An ideal seedbed is also created by maintaining precise tillage depth, providing thorough soil tilth, and consolidating the soil. Other applications of the Joker RT include fertilizer/manure incorporation, pre-emergent herbicide incorporation, field conditioning, cover crop management and specialty crop applications. This multi-purpose tillage tool provides excellent performance in both primary and secondary tillage operations, and is a clever alternative to vertical tillage, field cultivators, soil finishers and tandem disc harrows.

3630 Series Pulvi-Mulchers

Landoll Corporation features the Brillion Farm Equipment’s 3630 Series Pulvi-Mulchers. Wider working widths, increased trash clearance and reduced downtime were the design parameters used to develop two new models in the series, available in 30-foot and 36-foot, 6-inch working widths.

The new 36-6 model is 20 percent wider than Brillion’s current 30-foot WL Pulvi-Mulcher and is the widest and heaviest Pulvi-Mulcher ever produced in the company’s history. The new 30-foot model is 80 percent heavier than previous models, providing more clod-crushing power.

A minimum of 24 inches between shank rows and three rows of heavy-duty S-tine shanks featuring 25 inches of under-frame clearance result in improved trash flow. To ensure a smooth finish, a leveling bar is located in front of the rear roller to help level ridges left by the shanks. Large, 8-inch roller axles eliminate the traditional center bearing, improve reliability and reduce downtime.

Till an’ Bedder TB4

The Schmeiser Till an’ Bedder’s once-over operation tills, mulches, cultivates and firms seedbeds for planting sugarbeets, potatoes, corn, silage, alfalfa, grains and much more.

S-tine spacing is designed so that trash will flow through the implement and reduce the chance of plugging. The hydraulic leveling bar comes standard with depth control indication and is located in front of the rear roller to knock down ridges left by the S-tines.

Lemken

Lemken Karat

The heavy-duty Karat chisel plow is a multi-talent that can do several tillage jobs in one pass, including primary tillage, seedbed preparation and deep mixing or deep loosening. Various combinations of the point and an innovative guideboard allow the Karat to be equipped for different mixing and crumbling intensities at working depths from 2 to 13 inches. Switching between the share types is easier than ever thanks to Lemken’s quick-change system.

A robust, thick-walled square tube made of micro-alloyed, fine-grained, special steel provides the strong base for the frame with three rows of shanks. Their narrow spacing of 11 inches guarantees a complete fracturing of compaction zones. Leveling discs and an integrated roller provide a smooth, firm finish, leaving fields ready to plant.

Lemken Heliodor

The Heliodor compact disc harrow can be used for shallow stubble cultivation on light and medium soils as well as for seedbed preparation in various growing conditions and farming systems.

The Heliodor fits both conventional and minimum-tillage operations. High working speeds and a low power requirement guarantee high-performance at low costs. The open frame design lets the Heliodor handle residue where tines come to their limit. The dual cutting angle of the individually mounted 20-inch discs ensures excellent mixing over the entire soil profile to create a uniform seedbed that warms up evenly. Various rollers from Lemken’s wide range offer optimal crumbling, leveling and firming for different conditions and seedbed requirements.

Cover Crop Seeder for Rolling Harrow Soil Conditioner

Unverferth introduces a mounted cover crop seeder for its Rolling Harrow soil conditioner for time-saving, one-pass planting of these profit-enhancing crops.

The new cover crop seeder option provides economical one-pass planting and incorporation with the Rolling Harrow soil conditioner by itself, or combined with a lead tillage tool for enhanced residue sizing and tillage. It features 40.5 cubic feet of capacity combined with hydraulic-powered air delivery for covering a larger area with greater productivity. The chevron-shaped, roller-style meter provides continuous flow of seed for an even stand. Application rate is determined by tractor speed and an electric-over-hydraulic meter setting. Operations are monitored with unit-mounted lights indicating air pressure, seed level and seed flow. Seed delivery pauses when the unit is raised, or with a cab-mounted foot switch.

Additional features include side-mounted windows for easy monitoring of contents, a ladder and platform for easy filling, and a weather-tight roll tarp with ground-level operation. The seeder is available in implement-matching red or green.

The new cover crop seeder is available with new Rolling Harrow 1245 and 1245D models with flat- or stack-folding designs up to 37 feet. It can easily be mounted to most of these previous models in those sizes.
