On March 31, Jordan Sagert with On-Target Ag Services and Dave Svobodny with Midwest Ag Consulting, Betaseed independent sales agents for the American Crystal region, presented checks for $5,000 each--a $10,000 total donation--to L.O.A.N. (Love One Another Now) and the Pembina County (North Dakota) Backpack Program. These organizations are essential to meeting the needs of the families within their local communities.

L.O.A.N. is a Pembina County program that supports families of school-aged children by giving them school supplies and a week’s worth of clothing, including winter gear and boots.

“I want to thank you so very much for your help in our service to the families of our county,” L.O.A.N. board member Beth Brown told Betaseed representatives. “Without our donors, we wouldn’t be able to help so many kids be prepared for a successful year at school. Generous donors are why we can do what we do.”

The objective of the Pembina County Backpack Program is to team up with local schools to distribute easy-to-prepare meals and snacks to children for the weekend. A backpack program is a great opportunity to provide food directly to kids who need it most.
