Valley Irrigation announces the hiring of Trevor Mecham as vice president of global technology strategy–irrigation, and Joe Strickland as vice president and general manager of North America irrigation.

Mecham joined Valley on Nov. 26 and will develop and lead Valley technology strategy, in conjunction with the irrigation senior leadership team. Most recently, Mecham served as vice president of business development for Hortau. Prior to that, he held various roles within the agriculture industry, at companies such as CNHi; Leica Geosystems, Inc.; John Deere/Gem Equipment, Inc.; and Integrinautics/Novariant. Mecham has a bachelor’s degree in business marketing. He also worked on his family’s 4,000-acre farm for eight years.

Strickland joined Valley on Dec. 3 and will be responsible for developing the vision and strategy for North America irrigation and tubing sales and growth. Prior to joining Valley, Strickland spent the last 10 years in a variety of roles at Ecolab, most recently as vice president of agribusiness. Strickland earned his MBA from the University of Michigan, with an emphasis in finance and corporate strategy, and his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University.
