Micronutrients are required in small amounts, but their role in plant growth and development is huge. AgXplore introduces a product that makes micronutrient application easy while ensuring efficient nutrient uptake. Microcoat is a blend of five essential micro- and secondary nutrients, including magnesium, sulfur, manganese, molybdenum and zinc, with a proprietary delivery package.

“Our soils are struggling to maintain their natural nutrient supply with increasing demands for more yield per acre,” says Misti McBride, AgXplore’s director of marketing. “Microcoat is the first multi-nutritional blend that can be added to any dry fertilizer for adequate nutrient balance.”

“If a grower prefers, Microcoat can be applied in multiple stages,” says Brandon McMillan, AgXplore director of product development and research. “It can be applied as a root-feeding application the first time, and then as a leaf-feeding application the second time.”

Providing valuable micronutrients to a crop at critical growth stages helps prevent deficiencies. To avoid visual deficiencies from forming, growers must take a proactive approach. If you wait until you see the effects, your yield has already been negatively affected, says McMillan.

Due to its unique coating, Microcoat can be more evenly distributed across the field, meaning more plants can take advantage of those nutrients.

“Treating dry fertilizer with Microcoat gives growers more efficiency and flexibility. Ultimately, with the higher crop quality, it will lead to more profitability,” says McMillan.

“Microcoat also mirrors the 4Rs of Nutrient Stewardship message of right source, right rate, right time, and right place,” says McBride. “AgXplore is passionate about sustainability, we are grower-driven and family-focused.”
