Harrison Weber, executive director of the Red River Valley Sugarbeet Growers Association, has announced the organization is hosting the World Association of Beet and Cane Growers (WABCG) meeting in Fargo, ND, in June 2024.
He said they are expecting about 150 people from around the globe to attend the three-day conference, which will also include a field day where attendees will visit a sugarbeet farm as well as a North Dakota State University greenhouse.
The event is scheduled for June 19-21, 2024.

John Hoeven, Luther Markwart, executive vice president, ASGA, Jim Simon, president, American Sugar Cane League, Tom Astrup, President & CEO, American Crystal Sugar Company, and more.
Topics will include climate change, the world sugar situation, innovation (specifically innovation in genetics) as well as topics yet to be announced.
The venue and hotel is the Radisson Blu Fargo, 201 North 5th Street, Fargo, ND.
The third day will be the NDSU and farm visit.
