Betaseed, Inc. announces Ashlynn Haun as its 2018 scholarship winner in the Western Sugar South area. Haun was awarded a $500 scholarship. Mike Marker, sales representative with Betaseed, presented the scholarship check.
Haun graduated high school this spring and will be attending Kansas State University to pursue a degree in interior design and leadership. She is the daughter of Chris and Alena Haun. Chris and his father Chuck farm near Scottsbluff, Neb. Ashlynn is a member of 4-H and is actively involved many school and community activities.
Betaseed awards annual scholarships to students to help further their college education. Betaseed’s scholarship committee selected Haun as a winner based on the essay she submitted on the theme “The History and Future of Sugarbeets.”
