HAWLEY, Minn.—A Hawley man was injured Friday morning when the sugarbeet truck he was driving left the highway and went airborne in Wilkin County.
Dustin B. Martin, 34, of Hawley suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. He was taken to Sanford Hospital in Fargo. Alcohol was detected in his system, according to the State Patrol. He was wearing a seatbelt.
Martin was northbound on Highway 9 in a 1995 Kenworth construction truck filled with beets, when the truck left the roadway and hit a field approach, causing it to go airborne.
The truck was totaled.
The rollover accident was reported at 9:45 a.m. on dry two-lane pavement. The Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
