ACH Seeds Offers New Seed Lubricant

Fluency Agent, a new seed lubricant for sugarbeets, is now available from participating independent sales agents of ACH Seeds.

It is an alternative for talc, graphite and talc/graphite-blended seed lubricants. The use of seed lubricants in pneumatic planters is a standard recommendation from planter manufacturers. Seed lubricants help reduce friction and improve uniformity of planting.

Fluency Agent helps reduce the amount of total dust and further minimizes the amount of active ingredient potentially released in treated seed dust during planting. By reducing seed dust, Fluency Agent reduces the potential risk of exposure to foraging honey bees and other pollinators if they come in direct contact with the dust.

Root Demand Irrigation Wins AE50 Award

Root Demand Irrigation (RDI) accepted one of 50 awards from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) for ground-breaking industry innovation for the development of its subsurface irrigation product.

RDI is a unique form of subsurface irrigation that interacts with the plants’ roots to release water to meet the crop’s requirements. The RDI tube, a combination of the material science of DuPont and irrigation technology expertise and manufacturing of Valmont Irrigation, is the key component of the new product.

Other “smart” irrigation systems must be monitored and controlled to turn water on and off at a specific time or applied by a carefully planned prescription. The game changer offered by RDI is the way the tube senses the naturally occurring chemicals released by the plants’ roots that in turn releases water at the most beneficial time for the plants.

Move Rocks, Debris Easier

Worksaver Inc. introduces the new Sweep Action Rock Grapple (SARG) for skid steer loaders designed for handling rocks, brush, logs, stumps, debris, scraps and more.

The patent-pending design allows operators to sort large or small rocks and debris with just one tool. Two models are available; the SARG-72 features an overall width of 6 feet, while the SARG-84 offers 7 feet of overall width.

The front grapples operate in a sweeping action to pull rocks or debris into the bucket for easy site clean-up. Grapple design then retains the rocks or debris while the operator rocks the attachment to sift out the dirt. Grapples work independently of each other allowing the SARG to clamp loads that are uneven. Bolt-on side plates can be removed, revealing cutouts to help handle logs and stumps.

Kuhn Krause Introduces New Dominator 4855

The Kuhn Krause Dominator established an industry standard for a primary tillage product, designed to reduce subsoil compaction, provide residue management and maintain a level field finish.

Available in 7, 9, 11 and 13 shank configurations, the Dominator 4855 incorporates the proven 5-step system for residue management but also incorporates additional product improvements.

New tire size maintains flotation capabilities while increasing the weight capacity by 2,200 pounds per tire to improve transport reliability. Hardened bushings and heat treated pins will replace grease zerks and standard pivot pins in the parallel mount for the rear disc conditioner’s lower links, eliminating the need for daily grease maintenance at that point.

ProStop-E Provides Individual Nozzle Control

Pentair’s Hypro Pro-Stop-E gives growers instantaneous on/off control with 12 volt actuation and eliminates misapplications and waste.

The valve utilizes a robust, quarter-turn electric ball valve that’s highly reliable as compared to solenoid and plunger valves. It continuously utilizes an extremely low amount of power and provides a high-flow capacity in a compact valve design.

The ProStop-E valve fits directly onto Hypro ProFlo nozzle bodies in place of the traditional diaphragm check valve. The valves are connected in a daisy chain style using industry standard M12 cables. The ProStop-E node can be used to individually address each valve for single nozzle control.

Senninger Irrigation Introduces New Dual Nozzle Fitting

Senninger Irrigation, a global leader in agricultural irrigation manufacturing, announces the release of the new UP3 Dual Nozzle fitting.

The UP3 Dual Nozzle Fitting makes renozzling during the season a quick, tool-free experience. It replaces the regular barb fitting on hose drops and gives growers the ability to house two additional UP3 snap-in nozzles on each drop.

Growers who experience frequent drops in well capacity, who need an extra nozzle to irrigate winter crops, or those who just prefer to tailor-manage their resources will now find it easier to change their flows as needed.

Coupled with Senninger’s UP3 nozzle technology, the barb fitting greatly simplifies renozzling. Just pinch and pull to remove a nozzle from the carrier or the sprinkler and switch it with another. There is no need to disassemble the sprinkler and no need to carry extra nozzles into the field. The Dual Nozzle Fitting is currently not recommended for in-canopy installations.
