In its latest report on Internet access on farms, the Ohio field office of the National Ag Statistics Service (NASS) indicates 65 percent of Ohio farms have Internet access, an increase of 10 percent from 2011.
What's interesting is that wireless has become the most common Internet access method, moving ahead of DSL as the most common method. Thirty percent of online users report wireless access as their primary access, up 5 percent from two years ago. The least popular method for access is dial-up, at only 11 percent.
Nationwide, 67 percent of the farms have internet access, compared with 62 percent in 2011.
