The board of directors of Betaseed announced the appointment of John Enright as president effective July 1.

Enright joined Betaseed in November 1995 and has held a number of roles in accounting and administration during his career. He currently serves as chief financial officer for the company.

"I am confident that Betaseed has both the leadership and staff to build on its existing strengths to meet the needs of our customers," Enright said. "I look forward to the continued development of the organization to ensure future growth."

Enright replaces Kurt Wickstrom, who has accepted a new position as president and chief executive officer of Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative.

Enright and Wickstrom will work together until Wickstrom's departure from Betaseed on June 30.

Betaseed, Inc., headquartered in Shakopee, Minn., is the market leader in sugarbeet seed.
