Growers on Prince Edward Island, Can., gave a collective sigh of relief when they got a "million-dollar" rain last week.

In a drought throughout most of the summer, growers were watching their investments slipping away because only 3 percent have irrigation.

The rain is expected to save the Russet Burbank crop although earlier varieties have already been seriously hurt by the lack of rain.
