Southern Idaho growers were given a late blight warning after a confirmation was made in a field in the Magic Valley Aug. 27.
With the possibility of late-summer, early fall thundershowers, the possibility of the late blight threat spreading is a real possibility. Because of the "down-wind factor" this finding could jeopardize many growers in southeastern Idaho.
The EBDC or chlorothalonil fungicides were recommended. They should be applied in seven-day intervals until vines are dead.
