The Washakie Beet Growers Association has reached an agreement to lease the Holly sugar factory in Worland, WY.
The Imperial Sugar Company owns Holly Sugar and was planning to close the processing plant. The company is under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
The association will operate as an agricultural cooperative and will work with the current factory staff.
