Colorado potatoes are being heavily promoted through several major supermarket chains in the south and southeastern United States.
According to a Colorado Potato Administrative Committee report, 303 BI-LO stores in the southeast are promoting the potatoes.
Colorado has also lined up with Piggly Wiggly stores in several major cities in the southeast. Dillons and Harris Teeter with 154 stores, will also join the ranks in promoting Colorado potatoes with demos, in-store newspaper advertising inserts, and 60-second spot radio commercials.
Wal-Mart begins its Colorado potato promotion Dec. 30 using demos in 48 stores in New Mexico, Arizona, Texas and Colorado.
