U of I To Hold Tours In Aberdeen, Kimberly

University of Idaho weed scientists will host tours of their weed-control studies in potatoes, sugarbeets, grains and dry beans on June 21 at the university's Kimberly Research and Extension Center in Kimberly, ID and June 22 at its Aberdeen Research and Extension Center in Aberdeen, ID.

The tour covering weed-control in sugarbeets takes place June 21 in Kimberly. It begins at 8:30 a.m. and features research surrounding sugarbeet production. Don Morishita will lead sugarbeet growers through his studies of micro-rate herbicide combinations, sugarbeet tolerance for Betamix and Progress, weed control in LibertyLink and Roundup beets and comparisons of those transgenic varieties.
