The National Potato Promotion Board will elect new members and announce final plans for its promotion/advertising campaign for 2000 at its annual meeting March 16-19.
Tim O'Connor, president and CEO, said he commits the NPPB to become the industry's national marketing organization and to be a catalyst for positive changes.
He implored individuals within the industry to function as a team, as each individual has the opportunity and responsibility to be part of the solution to declining in-home potato meals.
During the meeting at Denver's downtown Westin Taber Center, 22 new Board members will be introduced while 21 retire.
O'Connor has recently created a unified industry plan that fosters ownership from state organizations to individual growers.
