Betaseed Names Scholarship Winners

Izaac Reuter was awarded Betaseed’s $500 scholarship for the Western Sugar South area. Reuter graduated this spring and will be attending the University of Wyoming. He plans to study business finance and would eventually like to work in agribusiness. Reuter is the son of Michael and Kinnie Reuter, who own M & K Reuter Farms near Kimball, Neb.

Betaseed’s scholarship winter for the Western Sugar South area is Andrew Fornstrom, who was also awarded a $500 scholarship. Fornstrom graduated this spring and will also be attending the University of Wyoming. He plans to study physical therapy and would eventually like to work as an athletic trainer or a physical therapist. He is the son of Mark and Susan Fornstrom, owners of Fornstrom Farms, LLC and Lodgepole Valley Potatoes near Pine Bluffs, Wyo.

Betaseed awards annual scholarships to students to help further their college education. The scholarship committee selected Reuter and Fornstrom based on the essays they submitted based on the topic “What Could the Future Hold for Sugarbeets and Sugarbeet Producers?”
