Dr. Courtney Gaine, president and CEO for the Washington, D.C.-based Sugar Association, will be addressing the general session of the American Sugarcane League’s Feb. 7 annual meeting at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Lafayette, La.
The general session begins at 10:15 a.m.
Gaine’s presentation is entitled “The Sugar Landscape: Nutrition, Policies and the Consumer.”
Prior to her appointment to the presidency of the Sugar Association in January 2016, Gaine served as vice president of scientific affairs at the association.
The American Sugar Cane League of the U.S.A. Inc. is a non-profit organization of Louisiana sugarcane growers and processors dedicated to supporting the Louisiana sugar industry through research, legislation, product promotion, education and public relations.
