A new survey by the Organic Trade Association says millennial parents are the largest group of organic buyers.

The organization’s 2016 survey of 1,800 households nationwide found more than half of parents buying organic are 18 to 34-years-old.  A little more than a third of generation-x parents and 14 percent of baby boomers in the survey buy organic.  The number of families that never buy organic has dropped more than 10 percent in the last seven years since the study began to 18 percent this year.

Almost half of respondents said they buy more organic foods today than a year ago. Trust in the organic label is also the highest amongst millennials parents.

Organic sales in 2015 were a record $43 Billion, up 11 percent from the previous year’s record.
