Modeled after ABC’s popular TV show “Shark Tank,” IA’s new Irrigation Show and Education Conference event Pitcher’s Mound is meant to be an avenue to help inventors, entrepreneurs and business people in the irrigation arena bring new products to market.

Entrepreneurs can apply for one of just six seats available during this session. Each product/entrepreneur selected will be entitled to a 10-minute pitch around his or her business idea or product, leaving five minutes for questions from the “umpires.” Umpires will determine if the product is a “strikeout,” “base hit,” or “home run.” Irrigation Show attendees are invited to watch at Back Stage on the show floor.

Eligible products must exist as beta models or are in beta testing, and have not been available in the marketplace for purchase prior to Sept. 30, 2016. Completed applications will be reviewed by a selection committee.
