Several news entities are reporting the USDA has shut down offices in five states due to anonymous threats. The offices are located in Maryland, Colorado, Connecticut, North Carolina and West Virginia.

A spokesman with USDA didn’t go into the nature of the threats but said the department is working with the FBI and local law enforcement to address the issue. Personnel at the offices have been made aware of the threats and will not report to work until further notice.
