Arborjet reminds graduating high school seniors that the deadline for its annual “Taking Root” Scholarship Program is just around the corner, and all applications must be postmarked by June 30.

A leader in the care of America’s urban and natural forests, Arborjet has been accepting applications for its annual program from students who plan to pursue a career in arboriculture.

“We are incredibly pleased with the outpouring of interest we have seen from students applying for our scholarship program so far,” said Russ Davis, president and COO of Arborjet. “We encourage other young students to take advantage of this opportunity while they still can to support their education and future in this growing industry.”

Now in its third year, the scholarship program will award 10 graduating high school seniors each with a $1,000 scholarship to pursue full-time studies in Forestry, Plant Sciences, Horticulture, Entomology, Environmental Science or a related major at an accredited two-year or four-year college.

Applicants for Arborjet’s 2016 “Taking Root” Scholarship Program must be graduating U.S. high school seniors planning to major in a forestry course of study or related major for the entire 2016-17 academic year at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university.
