DuPont is announcing changes from top to bottom as part of its merger with Dow.

James Collins will lead the DuPont agriculture business segment, assuming the role of retiring executive vice president James Borel.

Senior vice president Gary Spritzer has also elected to retire, and DuPont has named Richard Olson his successor.

The company also revealed a global cost savings and restructuring plan designed to reduce $700 million in costs.

DuPont says the plan includes a range of structural actions across all businesses and staff functions, impacting approximately 10 percent of its global workforce.

The Dow/DuPont merger faces regulatory approval, but both companies say they expect the transaction to close in the second half of 2016.
