American Crystal reported MA102RR was delivering outstanding results in early harvest.

MA102RR was launched in 2015 and has been a top yield performer in the Official Variety Trials for a number of years. Stacked with strong aphanomyces tolerance, MA102RR is exceeding expectations for many growers in the Red River Valley, and we look forward to offering MA102RR again for the 2016 growing season.

In addition to MA102RR, we plan to add two new varieties to the mix, MA109 and MA305 pending variety approval. MA305RR is a strong yield performer and a nice complement to MA102RR. Approved in 2014, MA305RR will be available for the 2016 growing season. MA305 is a high yield variety with moderate aphanomyces tolerance as well as tolerance to root aphid. Another characteristic of MA305 is its smooth root shape. The smooth shape reduces the amount of tare handling as well as improves the overall harvest activity and reduces wear on equipment.

MA109 is a high sugar variety stacked with strong rhizoctonia tolerance for areas where rhizoctonia is a primary concern. MA109RR also delivers moderate aphanomyces tolerance and strong cercospora tolerance to defend against the main disease issues in the Red River Valley. MA109RR will be offered pending approval for the 2016 growing season.
