Farmers, ranchers and other ag professionals should RSVP now if they plan to attend one of more than 200 Cover Crops and Soil Health Forums taking place nationwide on Feb. 18. Seating is limited at some locations.

These free forums will include a live broadcast of opening sessions of the National Conference on Cover Crops and Soil Health followed by a facilitated discussion of local challenges and opportunities with using cover crops. Opening session speakers include Howard G. Buffett, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Chief Jason Weller, American Soybean Association President Ray Gaesser, and a panel of four leading cover crop users.

Visit www.SARE.org/covercropconference for more information about the forums and a list of locations. To RSVP, contact the organizer listed for the location you plan to attend.

Live streaming from the national conference will begin at forum locations at 9 am Central Standard Time, except at Pacific Standard Time locations, where the broadcast will begin at 10 am Pacific Standard Time. Attendees are encouraged to arrive 30 to 45 minutes ahead of time for check in and introductions.

The Cover Crops and Soil Health Forums are being organized in conjunction with the National Conference on Cover Crops and Soil Health in Omaha, Neb. Both events are jointly funded by SARE and the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, with planning support from NRCS, the Midwest Cover Crops Council and the Soil and Water Conservation Society. The Omaha conference is invitation only; the local forums are open to the public.
