Sept. 15 through the 21st is National Farm Safety and Health Week in the U.S.

Scott Heiberger with the National Farm Medicine Center says while injuries are down slightly over the past few years, agriculture is still the most dangerous industry out there.

He also notes that there has been an increase in the number of "non-working" children being injured, children who are not working but in the work site. Part of the problem is with children riding on tractors or other vehicles without seat belts.

While tractors remain the biggest cause of injuries on the farm, livestock and grain are also sources of danger as are the various ATVs and UTVs.
