The U.S. Senate returned to Washington and re-opened work on the farm bill Monday.
Ag Committee leadership hopes to finish action on the bill this week. Chair Debbie Stabenow noted that it was a year ago that they were working on a farm bill and held 73 roll call votes at that time. She said that all of the changes made a year ago are included in the current legislation being considered.
