Senate Ag Committee to talk about weather disasters

U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee is going to take a closer look at the drought, weather and other economic disasters facing America's farmers.

Chair Debbie Stabenow will convene a hearing on Thursday which will first hear from the Director of NOAA's Integrated Drought Information System Dr. Roger Pulwarty and USDA Chief Economist Joe Glauber.

The committee will then hear from Indiana farmer Anngie Steinbarger, Nebraska farmer Ben Steffen, Montana rancher Leon LaSalle and Michigan cherry farmer Jeff Send.
