Inder Mathur, who has been in management of the Western Sugar Company, has been named CEO of the new Western Sugar Cooperative.
Rick Dorn, a Montana grower and chairman of the board, said, “We have dealt with Inder for many years on the other side of the table. We are pleased that he will now join our team.”
Mathur will bring over 18 years of experience in the international sugar and sweetener business. He is very familiar with the operations of Western and is well suited to be the Chief Executive of the company at this time, Dorn explained.
Headquarters of the cooperative will be in the Denver area. Sales and marketing functions will now be conducted from quarters there. Key management staff will continue to be located at each of the co-op’s six factories.
