Board Advertising For Int’l Director

United States Potato Board is advertising for an international marketing manager.

The Board’s International Division operates a $500,000 International marketing campaign to promote the use of United States potatoes and potato products—primarily frozen and dehydrated—in 20 countries in Asia and Latin America.

Funding comes from Board funds and monies obtained from USDA market promotion programs.

According to the U.S. Board, the successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and three-plus years international export marketing experience dealing with agricultural commodities.

The candidate will also have strong financial budgetary management skills, excellent writing and speaking ability, high energy, outgoing personality, computer skills and be willing to travel 30-40 percent of the time.

The individual will have responsibility for day-to-day management of a specified set of the Board’s international marketing programs. He will also develop and oversee programs, supervise international representatives and contractors, evaluate the Board’s international program, insure compliance with USDA program regulations, and serve as a liaison between growers and foreign markets.
