AgraWest, with a potato dehydration plant on Prince Edward Island, has not closed down as was expected because of the drought.

Its full-time staff of 80 has managed to run on a week-on, week-off schedule.

The plant is getting raw product of undersized potatoes from Maine, New Brunswick and PEI.
