Preparations for the National Potato Council's 53rd annual meeting are proceeding, with a deadline fast approaching for making reservations.
The event, to take place at the Marriott Rivercenter Hotel next to the famed Alamo in San Antonio, TX, promises to be another fact-filled event.
Hotel rooms can be obtained by phoning (800) 648-4462. The cut-off date for reservations is Dec. 11.
One of the highlights of the meeting will be the Fresh Potato Summit, held in conjunction with the National Potato Promotion Board. It will take place on Friday, Jan. 12, from 2-5 p.m.
It is unknown if a new executive director will be introduced at the meeting but final interviews of candidates are now taking place. Bud Middaugh will retire on Jan. 1.
