Prices Inching Upward In U.S.

>Growers are cautiously optimistic about russet potato prices that have been inching upward over the last two weeks.

USDA Market news reports show that some 70-count russet carton prices have hit as high $14. The open market price for growers has reached $1.66. This is the highest since last September.

Mesh and poly-bagged bale prices are in the $7-8 range. Russet potato demand is rated "good."
